Internship Programs

MERO Internships

Inspired by excellence and innovation in the marine field, we offer a wide range of high-quality educational and extra-curricular activities in both science and social fields. Students from various educational backgrounds can join MERO Foundation.

MERO Foundation hosts internship projects for students. Topics include:

A. Ecology & Biodiversity of Marine Invertebrate

  • Sea slugs life cycle

  • Biodiversity, monitoring, and survey (coral, sea slugs, tunicate)

  • Study of the anatomy and histology of sea slugs in Tulamben

  • Optimization of observation of fungi and marine invertebrates using SEM

  • Microplastic data collection in the Tulamben

  • Discarded Fishing Gear

B. Microbes

  • Screening of marine microbes (Fungi/Bacteria) related to degrading enzymes

  • Optimization of marine bacteria for antibacterial activity of freshwater shrimp and fish culture pathogens

  • Exploring the activity of marine bacteria for plastic degradation

​

C. Social Education & Local Development

  • Socio entre-preuner branding of marine education and scientific tourism

  • Women's empowerment initiative in Tulamben

  • Science education for children

​

Throughout 2025, students may apply for 2-month up to 6-months internships.
